Each room evokes the ambiance of the past without foregoing the convenience of the present. The feel throughout is that of a small luxury hotel with personal service to match. Each of the nine guest rooms has a unique personality, however they all have ironed sheets, private bath, flat screen television, DVD player and air conditioning. Five rooms have king beds and three have wood burning fireplaces and there is free Wi-Fi. Spend an evening, relaxing by the fireplace, watching television, or taking a bath in a deep porcelain tub. The Grand Suite features a totally remodeled bathroom with his and her showers and marble benches made from Vermont’s Isle La Motte fossils, that are nearly half a billion years old.

Begin each day with a specially cooked three course Vermont gourmet breakfast including a fresh fruit plate, croissant or scone and cooked to order three egg omelets or pancakes with Vermont maple syrup and bacon, sausage or ham. Rates range from $149 to $299 per night midweek and $189 to $329 per night on weekends. Peak and foliage rates are $30 to $40 higher depending on the room. Special celebrations and romantic getsaways are always in season at The Lilac Inn.
