Through a careful blending of the new with the old, each room evokes the ambience of the past without foregoing the convenience of the present. The feel throughout is that of a small luxury hotel with personal service to match. Modern appointments, placed discreetly, do not intrude on the rooms period decor. Each of the nine guest rooms has a unique personality - all have private bath, television and air conditioning, three have wood burning fireplaces and there is Wi-Fi available. Feel free to spend an evening, relaxing by the fireplace, watching television, or taking a bath in a deep porcelain tub. Enjoy a specially cooked three course Vermont gourmet breakfast each morning with a fresh fruit plate, croissant or scone and cooked to order three egg omelets or pancakes with Vermont maple syrup and bacon, sausage or ham. Rates range from $125 to $320 per night. - Special celebrations and romance are always in season at The Lilac Inn. We are pet friendly and accept well behaved dogs with a $35 fee per stay. Make your own special romantic memories with a dozen roses, box of Lake Champlain Chocolates and bottle of champagne for $60 with any two night reservation.

Please don't but if you must....and can give us a thirty (30) day notice prior to your arrival, we will refund your deposit minus a $35 processing fee. If you cancel within thirty (30) days of your arrival, or an early checkout, we will issue a voucher for the entire deposit amount to be used toward a future stay. Vouchers are valid for one (1) year from date of issue and do have restricted periods: Peak (Foliage, Middlebury Events / Graduations, Dunmore / Keewaydin Weekends, or holiday weekends).
Minimum stay is 2 nights on weekends May to October and 3 nights on Peak / Holiday Weekends.
